eZIO uses BAPIs to connect to SAP for uploads and downloads.
A BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface) is a specific SAP generated API to eZIO which provides connectivity between SAP and other systems / data sources.
eZIO provides a point-and-click interface to make sense of the sometimes complicated BAPI structures to execute a BAPI and then handle the return information.
Why would you use eZIO? and who would use it?...
- Making sense of complicated SAP Screens: Many SAP transactions require you to enter data on numerous screens to successfully create a transaction or master data. eZIO will let you build a "custom" screen to consolidate this information onto one Excel page for easy data entry.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting: Using the power of MS Excel, you can retrieve raw SAP data directly from SAP into Excel, and then sort, arrange, and organize the information for analysis purposes.
