Release Notes for eZIO Version 2.2
LAST EDITED ON Aug-29-02 AT 01:20 PM (CDT)
The following explains the new functionality in
release 2.2 of eZIO. If you have any questions
about this article or eZIO please contact us at
info@zoption.com.
- An option now exists to append the output
of data. This is used when eZIO is executed
more than once and allows the user to compile
multiple sets of output on one sheet. The user
may also choose to separate the output with blank
lines.
- When calling BAPIs multiple times, an option
now exists to suppress success messages so that
user intervention is not required between calls.
- An eZIO user can now manually close a connection
to the R/3 system.
- Functionality added in 2.2 includes support for
multiple single line input. For example, a BAPI which
requires Company Code and Account and returns an
account balance, a user may enter multiple company codes
and accounts and execute eZIO once to display balances
for all of the company code/account combinations.
- Sorting and subtotaling now is supported for both
non table based output. (In previous versions of eZIO,
this was only supported for table based output).
- eZIO now has a feature where a user can specify
a condition to determine when a negative number should
be formatted. For example, if you use a BAPI which
returns the FI debit/credit indicator, (H - Credit) you
can trigger formatting of the negative numbers.
- Improved search functionality has been added for the
search BAPI function.
- Similar to a SAP "User Exit" a feature is now supported
which allows an eZIO user to call a macro after normal
eZIO processing is finished. This macro can be any macro
in the context of Excel. One example would be to use it
to create aging buckets for an FI extract. Z Option also
offers support and consulting for macros customized to
fit your needs.
